Smart agriculture is a new direction of agricultural development that combines modern science and technology with agriculture to achieve precision planting, visual management, and intelligent decision-making. Relying on the Smart Agriculture Work Camp, Fengtai District in Beijing is building a "strong chain and circle" working mechanism, attracting 20 partner units including 3 chain leaders, and concentrating efforts to create a batch of urban smart agriculture, comprehensively leading the high-quality development of agriculture. In 2023, Fengtai District will establish a high-quality japonica rice breeding and propagation base in Beijing, driven by innovation to tap into the inherent potential of "good varieties". The average yield of rice per mu in Tianlongyou 717 was determined to be 577 kilograms, which is a major breakthrough in the selection and cultivation history of japonica rice in Beijing. Fengtai District promotes the cooperation between Maliandao Village and Yanqing District's state-owned enterprise Lvfulong Company to build a 313 acre digital facility agricultural base, and to create a cross regional smart agriculture demonstration base through the "1345" model, empowering the development of the entire agricultural industry chain with smart agriculture.
Next, we will focus on developing new quality productivity in rural areas, accelerating the gathering of scientific and technological resources, and implementing and transforming a number of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, leading the construction of the industrial system with agricultural scientific and technological innovation.
One is to promote the intelligent improvement of agricultural facilities in the entire region through the combination of technology and demonstration. By updating and enhancing production equipment and technology, new smart agricultural application scenarios will be created, and the construction of the Internet of Things in farmland and facility agriculture will be promoted, making agricultural production "perceptible, known, and controllable". The second is to establish a digital variety experimental display and evaluation base in Beijing, creating application scenarios such as intelligent environmental regulation, efficient cultivation applications, robot operations, post harvest commercialization processing, and digital management of experiments, forming the first vegetable variety experimental display base based on digital technology in Beijing. Thirdly, we will continue to promote the construction of agricultural Zhongguancun in Fengtai District, innovate the application scenarios of japonica rice germplasm, and through the combination of biotechnology and conventional breeding techniques, accurately and quickly select a series of high-quality, comprehensive resistant, and stable yield suitable new japonica rice varieties for planting in Beijing. The fourth is to expand and strengthen the modern seed industry, collaborate with seed industry enterprises and research institutes, explore the creation of seed industry innovation and development incubation parks, promote the holding of seed industry expos, seed industry summit forums and other activities, and build a brand system for seed industry conferences and exhibitions. In 2024, we will continue to follow the theme of high-quality development and sincerely invite upstream and downstream enterprises of the smart agriculture industry chain to come to Fengtai rural areas, form "partners", work together to build a solid foundation for development, and jointly paint a new picture of rural revitalization and development.
